In 1921 Taylor was hired as a salesman for the Converse Rubber Shoe Company. In 1908 the small shoe company Converse was founded by Marquise Mills in Massachusetts. In 1917 the well-known Basketball player Chuck Taylor started to cooperate with the label and developed the legendary „ Chuck Taylor All Star“, the first signature shoe worldwide.
