Basketball court dimensions are easy to remember: a FIBA court is 28 m long and 15 m wide, and an NBA court is only a little bigger. Here is the basketball court size for FIBA, NBA and 3x3, plus every line you see on the floor.
Short answer: A FIBA basketball court is 28 m long and 15 m wide. An NBA court measures 94 x 50 ft, which is 28.65 x 15.24 m. A 3x3 court is 15 m wide and 11 m long and has one basket.
Basketball court size in meters: FIBA, NBA and 3x3
| Measure | FIBA 5x5 | NBA | FIBA 3x3 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Length x width | 28 x 15 m | 94 x 50 ft (28.65 x 15.24 m) | 11 x 15 m |
| 3-point line | 6.75 m | 23 ft 9 in (7.24 m); 22 ft (6.71 m) in the corners | 6.75 m (the 2-point line) |
| Free-throw line | 5.80 m from the end line | 15 ft (4.57 m) from the backboard | 5.80 m |
| Rim height | 3.05 m | 10 ft (3.05 m) | 3.05 m |
FIBA measures the 28 x 15 m from the inner edge of the boundary lines. Around the court there must be a free strip of at least 2 m, so the whole floor is at least 32 x 19 m.
